We very much enjoyed our stay at Dal Vostro for 7 nights. This is an older hotel but very clean and well-maintained. Our room was good size and the bathroom had both a walk- in shower and tub with modern fixtures. Staff is multi-lingual, kind, helpful and responsive. Our small requests for additional coffee packets, help with the TV remote, breaking of larger currency into smaller denominations, directions, etc were all addressed very promptly and with smiles. The breakfast buffet is very nice with both local foods, some "western" options and fresh fruit and yogurt. Very good coffee, too. Besides the buffet options you can also order eggs in a variety of styles and local pho. The chicken pho was delicious! Do note that the breakfast room (located on the 10th floor) is rather small, maybe 7 or 8 tables. However, you can bring your buffet items up a short flight of stairs to the 11th floor for a choice of outdoor dining or another enclosed room there. The hotel is centrally located in the Old Quarter just two blocks from Ho Kiem Lake. Be aware that since July 2026 there are limitations on vehicular traffic on many of the smaller streets in the Old Quarter, including on Bao Khanh where the hotel is located. This means that if you are going on an organized tour that uses a van or bus you likely will have to walk to a pick-up point that could be anywhere from a 3-minute walk to a 15- minute walk from your hotel. Despite these traffic restrictions, we had no trouble with car transport to/from the airport; there may be an exception for Grab/taxi drivers or maybe we just got lucky on the timing of the restrictions. We would return here on our next trip to Hanoi!

Stayed here for the location and price, I was very impressed. The staff are awesome and accommodating, thanks again Jimmy, Sophie and Heather! The rooms are clean and had everything you needed. I chose the room opposite facing the road which is more quiet and dark, much for my liking. Location is prime and within 5 mins, you can be in Hoan Kiem. Would stay here again!

Everything we need is here. Great breakfast. Excellent location very near the lake and night market. Awesome staff. Value for money.

I was at dal vostro hotel for 6 days The reception stuff was fantastic and was behind any 5 star hotel that was in The location is also great near the lake on the old quarter The room was enough for me but the cleaning of the room need an improvement since I found ant's on the room floor

A comfortable stay in a convenient location made exceptional by the staff. Shout out to Sophie for being very accommodating. She had great sightseeing tips and kindly arranged for me to have breakfast packed on my last day, despite me checking out before the hotel restaurant opened.
