There are more than a dozen hairs on the sheets of both beds, and there are also many hairs on the duvet covers. It is very obvious that the room was not properly cleaned — the sheets and duvet covers were not changed and were simply re-made.
This is extremely unhygienic and unacceptable. I contacted the front desk, and the staff said they would report it to the manager, but the housekeeping staff has already left for the day.
I requested a room change, but the front desk told me the hotel was fully booked. They only provided two bed sheets and did nothing else to address the issue.
This does not resolve the problem. The room was not properly cleaned or sanitized, and being asked to change the sheets myself is not acceptable for a hotel of this standard.
I am very disappointed with this level of service and expect proper housekeeping service, full linen replacement for all bedding, and appropriate compensation for this unacceptable experience.
The hotel has a very good location and a good view if you get a balcony room, but the rest are disappointing. They claim they do housekeeping every 2 days, which I am fine with. But in reality, no housekeeping was done in 2 days. When I asked them to do it, the front desk was rude, said he will call the service team, and "what else do you want?!" The service team member came and gave us two sets of towels, and that's it. No removal of trash and used towels. No restocking of shampoo, toilet paper. I had to ask again on the 3rd day for the housekeeping to take place. The room has a faint smell of smoke even though this is a smoke-free hotel. On Christmas Eve, the power went out. Granted it was not the hotel's fault, but the way they panicked without a plan was annoying on top of the power outage. The food at the restaurant was OK. The food at the lounge was salty and service was very slow. The pool looked old, so we didn't even try. Would not recommend.

Outdated is an understatement. Entire building needs complete renovation.
No beach as advertised. Surrounding area is sad and depressed. Many homeless. No one who is on vacation should be subjected to this hotel and sadly Hilo. Nearby hotels are drastically worse

The front desk staff were not considerate of customers. When there was no parking available, they did not offer any help or solution. The ice machine was also out of order, and no one seemed to care or explain what to do. In addition, the room felt very old. Some outlets did not work well, and there were no USB or Type-C charging outlets, which is very inconvenient nowadays. Overall, the service and facilities were disappointing, and I did not feel welcomed as a guest.
