I would have given a higher rating but the water in the shower was not hot. Other than that everything was acceptable.

It took us 75 minutes from Mactan International Airport to reach the property on a private transfer. The roads to the resort are very narrow and congested. The resort is somewhat remote and has started to show its age. The furniture in the lobby needs updating & are uncomfortable. Upon arrival, there were 6 people ahead of us at the check-in counter and took 30 minutes before we got served. As our flight arrival was midday, our room was not ready and we had to wait for the 3 pm check-in. The assigned room was basic, had this tiny little ant looking insects crawling on the table, had a partial view of the ocean and standard bathroom essentials. The following day, we requested to be transferred to a different room as the room was located near the elevator and every hallway, elevator noise can be heard inside the room. At 3am, there was a smoke alarm that kept going on the room next door which woke us up and we reported to the front desk. Maintenance came and seems another issue came up and they kept trying to close the door which banged continuously for at least 5 minutes. The food at the main restaurant was above average. The service was acceptable but made special by William, the concierge was courteous, kind and very helpful with assisting us with transportation, recommending places of interest,
