I've been going to The Clarkton on an off for 40 years now. The current state of the hotel is probably the best it's ever been in. They have one of the best swimming pools in the area. Their smoked salmon breakfast is my favorite, although I'm not a fan of most other items on their menu. It's in a nice location away from the Red Light district. It's easy to access and is close enough to Walking Street to take a trike or a Grab for 100 - 150 pesos. The staff is always great both with service and their knowledge of the area. If you can get a room for less than 3k, this is the place to stay.

Rooms are basic but it was a value room. It was clean and pool area and restaurant was nice.
