Overall it is a nice upscale hotel with good size rooms and nice views, if the room is on higher floors.
The rooms need to be renovated. Shower stall leaked due to poor seals next to the wall enclosure. I expect a lot more for a 5-star hotel at the exorbitant prices that they charge.
Do not eat at the restaurants in this hotel. The food is less than average and overpriced. Service is not good and they automatically add a minimum of 18% service charge regardless of the size of your party or the service they provide.
Lovely stay, good quality hotel in a perfect location for exploring lower manhattan.
Spacious rooms comfortable bed courteous staff. Would recommend and stay again
Everything was as expected customer service was beyond helpful and amenities was exeptional
Wonderful view from our spacious room. The bed was comfortable. The lotion was plentiful. Everything worked in the room. The wait for elevator could be improved. Hotel breakfast is on a high end. This being said, there is a Nespresso machine in the room.
Great location near West Village/SoHo with excellent views, but overall The Dominick doesn’t live up to its advertised five-star status or price point.
I stayed in a suite at The Dominick hoping for a true five-star experience but was disappointed in several areas. While there are positives, too many issues suggest it falls short of what should be expected at this level.
Rooms lack basic amenities such as make-up removal wipes and cotton balls. The hotel’s restaurant closure wasn’t mentioned in advance, and there were no complimentary minibar items or late-night room service. In addition, guests must pay extra for a reliable Wi-Fi connection. The blackout curtains, which should provide a dark environment, let in too much light, making it difficult to sleep in. Furnishings feel slightly dated and worn, and elevators were consistently slow and overcrowded. Although the staff were pleasant, poor traffic management at the entrance added to the frustration.
For the nightly cost, you’re likely better off choosing a property that consistently delivers a five-star experience, such as the Four Seasons, at a similar price point.
