My son and I were turned away to the streets because the card I booked with has a venmo logo on my Mastercard. The girl at the desk refused to even have a conversation about it saying it was a pre paid card. It is not. It was a legit mastercard linked to my bank. She left the room and left us stranded. Then hotels.com made me just through hoops to get a refund after denying my claim. It ruined the last day of our location. They would not let me call a family member to use their card or even have a conversation with me about it. While in there another guest was upset that the room they paid for did not have the features it was supposed to, such as a working fridge. The rooms are also not beach front and the images online do not match the vibe.
Air conditioning worked buy we didnt need to use it. The hotel has beach chairs and coolers to use anytime. Staff was always nice and reponsive. The view from the ocean was a small little openjng off the upper balcony.
The room was spacious and quite clean. Although there was not much seating (sofa or chairs), there was pretty much anything else we could ask for - coffee maker, small refrigerator, microwave, iron, etc.
The standout thing for us was the staff. Lenni (sp?) was amazing. Not only friendly and professional, but she went out of her way to accommodate us when we arrived a few hours before check-in time. There was a place for us to store our luggage, she gave us some good recommendations for lunch, we were allowed to hang out at the pool, and when the room became available early, she texted me and checked us in early. Because of her, we will definitely be staying here the next time we visit Maui.
I am only giving it 4 stars because I wish they served breakfast. But my stay was amazing! Friendly staff, very clean, quiet and right across from one of the many beaches in Kihei. Great location! I will definitely be back! Mahalo 🌺
