How do I summed my overall rating is found in the delectable n salivate breakfast the staff hv painfully n loving prepared for us daily in the early morning when all quests r in their slumberland. Best hostel you can find near Taipei Main Station!

I have nothing but positive things to say about my stay at Star Hostel Taipei Main Station. They were generous enough to upgrade my 6-Bed Female Dorm Room to a 4-Bed Female Dorm upon check-in. I enjoyed that this hostel had small cabinets per bed number to store your shoes. The common areas were always well taken care of and had a nice number of visitors - though it's not a social hostel. The provided breakfast every morning was delicious and healthy, with the week's menu included on the wall in the dining area. I was also grateful to have a separate female-only restroom. There is a disclaimer that both male and female staff may need to enter for cleaning, but for the 6 days I was there I never encountered a male staff member in the restroom. There was also q-tips, flossers, cotton pads, and other small items (as well as hair dryers) available for use. The hostel offers umbrellas to borrow on rainy days if needed. There were just so many small things that made this stay wonderful. And there was a moment with a member of the front desk team that really stood out to me. I purchased a postcard from their small store and she asked me if I needed any stamps. This was great because in my head I figured I'd need to go to a post office to purchase some international stamps. After providing the stamps, she also informed me that I can place my postcards in their post box and my letters will be sent to their destinations. It just made my life so much easier to take care of everything (purchase, stamp, mailing) all within the hostel. Oh and it's a great spot in the city for hopping onto the Taoyuan Airport MRT. I would highly recommend this place!

Everything was tip top during my stay here. Love how near it was to the train station and that there's a 7-11 less than 5 mins away. The build of the capsules are super solid. Cleanliness is also great.
