Good place for couple to enjoy their honey moon

Stayed on a weekday (Monday). The female staff members who were on duty during check-in in the morning were very kind and professional. However, the male staff member who was present from the afternoon until the evening was extremely unfriendly to the point that I seriously questioned whether this was appropriate service for a hotel. 1. His tone of voice was shocking. Although we communicated in English, his manner was cheap, condescending, and disrespectful—almost as if he were speaking to a close friend rather than a guest. 2. He showed no consideration for waiting guests. He seemed focused on his own tasks and made guests wait for an extended period without any apology, urgency, or attempt to provide proper service. The male staff member was no longer there the following morning, but unfortunately, because of that one front desk employee, my overall impression of this hotel was significantly downgraded. I can barely remember the room or the onsen because the negative experience at the front desk overshadowed everything. The level of service from that male staff member was more fitting for a one-star motel, not a hotel of this standard.

Pause Landis Resort Wulai is located in a quiet and tranquil town, perfect for a relaxing getaway away from the city. The hotel is within walking distance to Wulai Old Street and the scenic train ride, which made exploring the area quite convenient. The breakfast was great, with generous portions, and the hot spring facilities were a highlight—very relaxing and well maintained. Welcome drink at their cafe is also an added bonus to the stay. However, there were a few downsides. There are no taxis readily available nearby; transportation is only possible by calling in advance. It would also be nice if the hotel offered a shuttle service to the main attraction spots in Wulai. Or least a map of the area . Additionally, the staff could be more helpful in providing suggestions for sightseeing and restaurants. When asked, the response was simply “just look left and right,” which felt dismissive and not very informative. Overall, a peaceful stay with excellent hot springs, but better transportation support and more attentive guest service would greatly improve the experience.
