Hotel Dorf Shizuoka

This hotel was the first place we stayed after arriving in Japan with my family after a long and tiring flight. However, thanks to the incredibly kind staff and great service, all of our fatigue disappeared within just a few hours! Even though we checked in late at night, the staff treated us so warmly and kindly, and we truly appreciated it. The complimentary dinner provided as a service was one of the best meals we had during the trip. My children especially loved the hotel curry so much that they said they want to come back again just to eat that curry! Of course, not only the curry, but also the oden and pork dishes were excellent. The Japanese sake and beer also helped me recover from the exhaustion of traveling. The room was very spacious and cozy, which made us feel happy and relaxed. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling with family. Lastly, I would like to sincerely thank the male staff member who assisted us in the evening for his kindness and hospitality.

시즈오카 도착해서 부랴부랴 숙소를 찾았었는데 급하게 잡아서 들어온 숙소치고 너무 좋았습니다. 프런트 분들 다 젊고 너무 친절하시고, 방도 좋고, 화장실, 욕실 다 리모델링 되어있어요. 한국인 분들도 간간이 보이고 편의점 가깝고 좋아요.

우선 직원들이 너무 친철합니다. 시설면은 비니지스 호텔급으로 딱 그정도 입니다. 신시즈오카역이랑 시즈오카 역이랑 가깝고 주변 편의점도 있어서 굉장히 편했어요 !

We were originally set to travel to Osaka but our plans changed due to an error with our hotel that forced us to cancel. Last minute changes made us book Hotel Dorf with little to low expectations. We were surprised by how close the hotel was to great amenities like kombinis and the Shizutetsu line a few feet away which directly connects to Shin-Shizuoka downtown. It was wonderful and convenient. Not to mention the included dinner every night and drinks. They also have a laundry that we didn't get to use but it's there if you need it as well as a shuttle to and from Shizuoka station. My significant other and I agree that this was a nice find of a hotel. 4.5 stars!
