Easy to walk for shopping, eating and catching the train.
Very helpful and pleasant staff, The room is very clean and comfortable. Hot and cold water for drinking is a plus!
Friendly staff and great location in Sanjo area.
Loved staying here. Had a street view room. The other rooms have no view as windows are frosted and don’t open. Location is fantastic. Stayed 5 nights and used as a hub for Kyoto/osaka and everything else. Station is close but you have to change to get to Tokyo station. Staff is incredibly nice and helpful. BTW there is an elevator! Wouldn’t think twice about staying again!

What I liked:
The location is just perfect. On the main street yet good soundproofing and room at the back meant that it was quiet. Lots of the sights accessible on foot, and tons of buses within 5 minute walk to go to the other sights.
The reception is on the ground floor, and despite the entrance being quite narrow, it's easily visible from the street, none of that going into a shopping centre and taking a lift and s corridor etc.
The reception is manned all day. So even if you arrive before the check-in time, you can enter the hotel and ask the staff to keep your luggage innthe small lobby. Very practical when nowadays so many hotels use codes which mean you can only enter from the check in time.
I really like the mattress. My back isn't good on hard mattresses that are the norm in Asia, so I was absolutely relieved to see that the mattress was soft. I mean, soft by Asian standards, and I would say medium firm by Western standards.
Toiletries, tea, coffee and filtered water available on each floor, a lovely touch.
Finally, I liked that there are bed side lamps! It sounds silly, but I've missed that from many hotels! And the mini fridge is quiet! Not suddenly waking you up in the middle of the night.
Now, the one little thing that could be improved is to have USB sockets. There is one within the TV, but you have to turn on the TV to activate the USB and charge up your phone.
I will definitely bookmark this hotel and come back here next time.
