We rented a Toyota Alphard MPV and drove to this hotel after reading many positive reviews. I thought the drive would be easy, but it turned out the last 1km of the road was very narrow and we had to drive slowly and carefully to reach our destination. The hotel staff was along the roadside to greet us, as we had earlier informed our arrival time. He helped us parked the car, as it’s not easy to maneuver into the parking space outside the hotel. Appreciated this great service.
The dinner was served by a Nepalese man who spoke English. Think his name was Su-zhan, and he explained every meal that was served. Made the whole dinner experience felt like fine dining. Thanks to Su-zhan, he made our stay perfect.

Our whole stay was superb! Firstly, my friend and i left our luggage on the bus that dropped us off. The staff at the ryokan went above and beyond. They called the bus company, tracked our bags and we got our bags back! We are so grateful to their team.
And finally, they whole stay was an experience! The food was soo good the way they made your beds ready as you were eating, and the cave onsen really made the experience. Id definitely recommend and come back myself too:)

This Ryokan really makes the stay in Kurokawa onsen extremely memorable. With the river views from the room and the night and day views around the town. The staff are attentive and extremely kind ! I would love to come back again.
