Stora rum för att vara London till det priset. Personalen var super trevliga och man hinner bli bekant med ansiktena. Mycket butiker i området, restauranger finns i varje kvarter och så. För shopping av kläder gå ca 10 min. Gym finns i hotellet samt rooftop bar. Hotellets a la carte meny var dock inte super tilltalande.
The hotel’s location is excellent, with a tube station right beside the property, making it very convenient.
The rooms, however, were quite standard and looked much better in the pictures than in reality.
The food at the restaurant was disappointing. For the prices charged, I expected something exceptional, but it was just average.
One highlight was a female receptionist who was exceptionally friendly and helpful—she really stood out. Unfortunately, the rest of the staff were less engaging and didn’t even ask how our stay was when we checked out.
A major downside of this hotel is that it shares the building with Jin Bo Law, a rooftop cocktail bar. On several occasions, we had unpleasant experiences with the bar’s security team. Every evening, when returning to the hotel, security guards would chase after us to question whether we were hotel guests.
One particularly bad incident occurred when I, my husband, and two other hotel guests entered the elevator. Security ran after us, repeatedly asking if we were staying there, and even had the audacity to question how many rooms we had—as if we were all going to one room for some improper reason. It was both disrespectful and disappointing.
Lastly, the deposit policy was frustrating. We were charged £50 per room as a deposit, something we were not informed about beforehand. It would have been much better if this had been clearly communicated at the time of booking. I’m now just waiting to have this deposit refunded
The hotel staff was very friendly and the restaurant food options were great,
However the room was very small and there was noticeable scoff marks all over the walls which brought down the value of the hotel. Other than that I enjoyed my stay
Really nice hotel right above Aldgate Station. Very clean rooms. Hotel staff was friendly, knowledgeable and extremely helpful. I had a 4:30am train from Liverpool Street Stn which was a 10 min walk and felt very safe at that time in the morning. Would definitely stay here again.
Worst customer service we have ever had! I normally don’t leave a bad review. Besides the housekeeping staff, the front desk and restaurant wait staff need a lot of help!! They either ignore or avoid you at all costs. Pretty sad it’s a great location to jump on the tube and room was really nice and comfortable.
