I’m honestly very disappointed with my experience at this hotel, and I feel the need to share it so others know what to expect.
On one night, my friend and I were allowed by staff to have a glass of juice and use the microwave in the kitchen area. That interaction made us believe this was normal. No issue was raised, no rules were explained, and everything felt fine.
A day or two later, we returned just to get a glass of juice, and the experience was completely different. A female staff member immediately spoke to me in a very rude and dismissive way, saying guests were not allowed there and repeatedly mentioning work health and safety. The issue wasn’t the rule itself but the tone and attitude it was being relayed. There was no hospitality, no politeness, nor respect.
After taking a glass of juice, I rinsed and washed the cup properly before returning it. Instead of acknowledging that, she looked at me with clear disgust, as if I had done something dirty. She insisted it was still unhygienic. That moment was humiliating and unnecessary. A respectful explanation would have been enough.
What made the situation even more uncomfortable was how I was treated in shared spaces like the pool and gym. The same staff member raised her voice at me in front of other guests, repeating the same things instead of speaking to me privately. That was extremely uncomfortable.
There was no attempt at discretion and It felt more like a public confrontation than a professional communication. She even asked for my room number without clearly explaining why, and continued talking despite me already acknowledging her.
Another issue was convenience. There is no microwave in the rooms and no drinks provided in the fridge. When we missed breakfast and simply wanted to heat our food, we were met again with rudeness and resistance from another female staff member.
Eventually, we were told to get a receptionist, who actually assisted us and I want to note that this receptionist was calm, respectful, and professional. That showed me the problem isn’t the rules themselves, but how some staff choose to communicate them.
What truly confused and frustrated me was seeing someone else freely walk into the same area we were repeatedly stopped from accessing, only to be told that person was the owner’s son. Whether true or not, rules should be applied fairly. As a paying guest, it felt disrespectful to be treated as an inconvenience while exceptions were clearly being made.
I also want to be honest about how this behaviour felt to me. The way these female staff members looked at us with visible disgust and how differently they treated us compared to other guests made it feel like an act of racism. I cannot say for certain whether this was intentional or not, but as a guest, that was genuinely how it felt in that moment. Being made to feel singled out, watched, and spoken to harshly while others were not treated the same way is deeply uncomfortable and upsetting.
I also need to mention the room cleaning. During our stay, the room was not properly cleaned. The bedsheets and towels were changed, but the room itself was not swept, and the bathroom was not thoroughly cleaned. That is not acceptable. Proper daily cleaning means the entire room including the toilet should be cleaned, not just refreshed.
Based on this, I genuinely question how this hotel qualifies as a 4-star hotel. The standard of cleanliness and service does not reflect that rating at all.
Overall, this experience made me feel disrespected, uncomfortable, and like my money was wasted.
Hospitality is about consistency, respect, and how guests are made to feel and sadly, this hotel failed badly in those areas.
Based on my experience, I would not return and would not recommend this hotel to anyone I know. I hope management seriously reviews staff behaviour, guest treatment, cleanliness standards, and overall service, because no guest should feel this way in a place they are paying to stay.
