Pros:
The desert scenery is truly unique. The hotel is located within a vast private desert reserve, making the surroundings feel very exclusive. The property itself is very large and offers many activities. Unfortunately, I had limited time and couldn’t participate in them.
That said, the hotel is excellent for photography and feels very relaxing. I think it’s definitely worth visiting, and I would recommend staying at least two nights to fully enjoy the experience.
Cons:
The location is very remote. Traveling from Abu Dhabi takes around 2.5 hours and can take up to 3 hours if you are not familiar with the route. A taxi costs approximately AED 400, and some drivers may expect tips.
If you plan to return to the city by taxi, it’s important to contact the hotel in advance. I would recommend arranging this at least three hours ahead.
I also felt that the quality of the restaurants within the resort was quite average. For example, butter chicken in the city costs around AED 30 and tastes noticeably better than the version served at the hotel.
