Best Breakfast in Town.

We checked into Shangri-La The Fort for NYE and was placed in a corner room. We’ve stayed in a corner room before so my fiance and I were excited to have a bigger room and to catch the fireworks, but this specific corner room was smaller than the regular deluxe high street room that we normally would get. Also the room was facing the completely opposite direction of where the fireworks were to be displayed for the New Year. We requested to be changed to another room so we could view the fireworks, but were told by staff that our room would have direct view of the fireworks which was untrue cause the fireworks were shot on the opposite side of the hotel which was blocked by the rest of the building from that specific room. We were eventually accommodated but it took over an hour to hear back from the front desk regarding our change in room. We had to keep following up more than 5 times to finally get an answer. We checked in at 2:30pm and had to wait til 7pm to be changed to our new room. The new room was significantly much better and fit our usual experience with staying at Shangri-La. Would not recommend putting guests into the corner room on NYE especially when trying to view the fireworks safely.

Everything was wonderful at this hotel. The gym was really great. The staff were very accommodating and pleasant. The location was perfect.

Neat clean - good sized room Upgrade to street view well worth it- Gym is the best. Good food and restaurants
