2nd time that we’ve stayed at the Salome- great room and balcony and lovely adult only pool area. The Salome gives you access to exclusive restaurants- the waiter service breakfast is excellent. You can also use the Anthelia buffet restaurant- However, I was asked to leave as I wasn’t wearing long trousers (I had opted for Tailored Shorts with a belt and a fitted shirt) whilst I understand rules are rules, at no point were we advised of this condition ( the restaurant reception staff had let me through and we’d ordered drinks at the table!). We have suggested that there should be an information sheet left in the room for future guests.
This is an amazing small hotel inside the big hotel. All the amenities are beautiful with an impeccable service. All rooms are overlooking the ocean. There was an easy beach access from the pool area. We also had full access to the spa. Our room was very comfortable with sliding separating if the sleeping area from the sitting area. Overall, fantastic choice for a relaxing adult vacation.
great spot and Salombe adults only as part of much larger Anthelia hotel is the concept.
On the plus side the staff were exceptionally attentive. However we reported our TV not working effectively (poor signal making it unwatchable). It was alledgedly fixed but the fault was still the same. We found the mattress to be exceptionally firm. We passed feedback and they then fitted a mattress cushion which did then make it acceptable. However it was only by chance we passed feedback. It would have been nice if it was offered as an option upon check in. Interestingly my father stayed here 10 days before and had similar issues with their TV
We had an issue with the massage not being the one we selected and then there was a debate needed to overcome the flipant reason for this being given
It was nice but at close to £600 p/n B & B it did not feel it was worth it. For example there were no daily delivery of fruit in our room that we have experienced in similar priced hotels
Overal it was OK but as my headline suggests I did not feel it was worth the money in an area where there is alot of choice. However thanks to the staff as mentioned earlier
Great small hotel inside big hotel. Relax and upscale hotel.
Definitely worth of money, but lot to improve on food & beverage sector - not in line with hotel standard.
The Grand Salome is a section of the Iberostar Anthelia. You arrive and have to checkin through Anthelia. On arrival there was no-one to take suitcases and valet the car and we waited half an hour to checkin (the checkin area was chaos). We also didn't get the room we had requested. Not what you expect when paying 500+ euros per night.
It has a separate breakfast section serving a la carte (Mirador) although we didnt use this as we were allocated a 7.30 am breakfast slot. The lunchtime bar/restaurant is very good. In the evening all the restaurants we used were Anthelia (nothing open in Salome)
Restaurants, staff, room and Grand Salome pool area were very good but the hotel made a very bad first impression.
We wouldn't stay here again. When paying this sort of money I would revert back to the Abama or Bahia del Duque, where we have stayed previously.
