good location , clean and friendly staff

Friends and I stayed at this property on and off starting Dec 25th-March 10th. Pros: loved the open/big spaces of the rooms, it's clean for the price you pay, breakfast included, hot running water, close to lots of shops, restaurants and all. Cons; The spa was out of service, I was not a fan of the breakfast, and sometimes the street across the hotel can get hectic (regardless, the hotel was quite, and peaceful). Thank you for the amazing hospitality you showed me starting from management, reception, waitress, security, to the room service staff. You were like a family. Until next time, blessings!

Overall, the staff was great. It is important to note the helpfulness, diligence and professionalism of many of the hotel staff from housekeepers to waiters (example - Meseret Bellete) to concierge (example - Workneh Abay). Nevertheless,the hotel needs to improve in several key ways. A. Inconsistencies between Room Service Prices Advertised vs Actual Hotel Expectation The room service menus located in the room were not updated, so when guests order room service, they are charged a lot more that what the prices were on the menu. B. Guest Room Bathrooms The bathrooms needed a deeper clean and needed to be in better working condition. The drain in the bathroom smelled very bad, shower doors were broken or missing all together, and the shower grouting has molds. C. Guest Room Beds The mattress was not comfortable at all. What the hotel calls a mattress was actually the box spring. The hotel claimed some guests like to sleep on a hard wood and metal coils. Nevertheless, we changed rooms due to this. D. Area Sounds of Hotel Location The area where the hotel is located is accessible but very busy and noisy with loud music all night long especially during the weekend. It was very hard to have a good night rest. In conclusion, the staff was very nice; however the hotel management needs to do better in keeping the rooms in better repair and providing better communication regarding billing.

Base Ethiopia Int. Hotel made my trip to Ethiopia a memorable one. Good breakfast, the rooms were clean, the facilities were good & the staff were amazing. Ms. Yodit was exceptionally helpful (booking, transport from the airport etc..) I recommend you to stay here for your next trip to Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

Staff is trying their best. It is not their fault the suits are in bad condition, and the food is terrible.
