Upon returning to the hotel at 10:30 PM, there were seven people in the elevator. There was nobody at the front desk when we entered the hotel and then entered the elevator. Between the second and third floor the elevator stopped precipitously. The elevator limit was eight people. We had only seven. Our weight limit way under the weight limit maximum for the elevator.
None of us could sit we all had to stand for close to an hour in this tight space.
The people at the front desk, never fully communicated to us. They called the fire department and the fire department refused to come and help. The fire department said none of us were having a health problem so they refuse to come.
The elevator repair people were called and we were told it would take at least 40 minutes for them to arrive at the hotel
Finally, I cracked open the elevator door to get air into the elevator. Then I close the door and the elevator electronics reset. We were then able to get off in the basement.
Death trap ruined our vacation never again
Room and hotel are very nice and quaint, rooms are comfortable, nice balcony and very friendly staff.
This hotel was ideal and centrally located to many wonderful attractions Paris has to offer. The staff was knowledgable and friendly with recommendations. The hotel was clean and well kept. The accommodations were somewhat small but still very comfortable. I highly recommend, especially for first time visitors, as the locations cannot be beat!
