Pros: - Close to U-Bahn and tram stations - You get the whole apartment, so there's a lot of space Cons: - On the 5th floor with no elevator - Sometimes there is a bad smell in the apartment. It was so bad that my husband started looking for other hotels even though we paid already. - You HAVE to pay cash, and they won't drive you to the bank. We had to walk over 20 minutes to the bank, withdraw 250 euros, and walk back - The lady sent by the host doesn't speak much English, and we couldn't communicate with her or the host if we needed help - The door is hard to operate. My husband hurt his hands when he tried to close it. - The building doesn't feel safe

Avoid them at all costs!!! I had a terrible experience with both the Berlin Apartments and Expedia in June. I stayed 25-27th June, two nights of the four we had booked. On the second morning I woke up covered in bites and discovered the infestation of bed bugs. Myself and my friends child were bitten by the bugs. I have over 100 bites and had an allergic reaction to them. It has been a month and I have scars and marks still. I have had no help at the time or follow up from either the accommodation or Expedia regarding the early departure and alternative accommodation. We ended up sourcing another apartment through a competitor site. I was refunded from Expedia the two unused nights and offered £17 as a good will gesture for the inconvenience. We incurred numerous costs from last minute accommodation change to medical and medication and have not been reimbursed from Berlin Apartments or Expedia for any of it. Stay well away from them should you not way to be eaten by bed bugs, left stranded without accommodation, pay a premium for last minute accommodation, cover all medical costs for something that should have been preventable, as well as pain and suffering with being bitten over 100 times and having an allergy to the bites. This included two visits to the hospital and two to the Dr, two courses of antibiotics, antihistamine, creams and lotions. Never again will I use them or recommend them.
