안다이칸

Tilbrakte to dager på Andaikan med god mat og mange aper! Vertskapet er meget hjelpsomme og steller i stand tradisjonell japansk frokost og te. Det er en glodvarm onsen i kjelleren, og man får utdelt kimonoer til å gå fra onsen til onsen i resten av "byen" hvis man skulle ønske det. Det er fire km å gå til snøapeparken, men vertskapet kjører mer en gjerne bil. Anbefales på det varmeste!

Lovely stay at very traditional Japanese Ryokan. Food was traditional Japanese served in traditional dining room, great experience and great tastes even though very different from what I am used too. Service was impeccable. Host was exceptionally helpful and very quickly gave us a lift to snow monkey park after arrival. Great walk back through traditional onsen village. Host was also very accommodating moving breakfast forward 30 minutes to allow us to catch bus next morning to Shiga Kogen for skiing. Highly recommended. In house onsen was also good.

The lady boss was really kind!! When we came early, she gave us a brief on where we can walk around before check in time, and even accommodate our breakfast time the next day as we wanted to head out early to see the monkey and drove us there. The ryokan was gorgeous, the floor was tatami, and there was a kotatsu in the room!! It was so comfortable, the futon was a wonderful experience to sleep in. It seems like because the ryokan is small, when we went to shower in the shared onsen, there was no one at all and we were able to experience the feeling of having the onsen for ourselves ^^ The room is big, with a balcony for us to unwind. The complimentary tea and manjuu was wonderful! I would like to stay here again in the future ^^

The owner was so kind! She attended to us personally. There is a small language barrier, but she made sure we had all the information we need. She explained everything > How the onsen times worked > What time dinner and breakfast were > Walked us through each food when she served them. > Provided recommendations of where to go Best of all, when we checked out, she drove us to the train station which was a few kilometers away! The place itself was very lovely, and you can see it's really taken care of with love. All the areas were clean, the amenities were maintained, and each corner was really cozy and beautiful. There's even a small taikobashi / drum bridge inside! We didn't go to see the snow monkeys on our trip, so when we do, we will definitely stay here again.
