Our stay was extremely disappointing. At check in, our room did not have towels or bedding for the sofa bed. It took three requests before they were delivered around 11:00pm. The bathroom sink was clogged and, despite two service requests, was not repaired for almost two days, leaving us without a usable sink. Housekeeping was especially frustrating. After requesting cleaning three times and calling the front desk to express my disappointment, the room was finally cleaned only after I personally stopped a housekeeper as she was leaving the floor. During our entire week long stay, the room was cleaned only once. On two other occasions, housekeeping came in only to change two towels. Although the staff was polite, service consisted mostly of empty promises. The room was not very clean to begin with, and by around 4:00pm it began to smell strongly of sewage. I had to close the bathtub drain and sink stopper to prevent the odor from overtaking the room. We stayed in room 653 in the second building. The air conditioning did not work well. We left the balcony door open for airflow, but outside noise became unbearable starting around 4:30am due to roosters and garbage trucks. I am giving this property two stars only because the staff was friendly and the location is good. I am surprised it has a 7.4 guest rating. At nearly $400 per night, this hotel is not worth the price and clearly needs better maintenance. We would not stay here again.
