Great location and cheap for NYC 🤍

It is the place to stay, splendid attention to detail, VFM and the best New Yorker experience. Love it

Although it was supposed to be a non-smoking room, we got a room that smelt strongly of cigarettes. It was not possible to change the room, but after some heavy persuasion, we were given a room without an odour the next day.

Building is very old and I couldn't sleep properly because of some hammering sound continuously coming from the heating device. It was so annoying and the staff also didn't support. I was very disappointed. Staff was just raised his hand that he can't do anything. I had a very bad night at the property.

Stayed at the YMCA for 3 nights with my teenage son. The location is perfect right next to central park. The stay includes access to the gym, pool and Sauna which is a huge bonus at this price point in Manhattan. The rooms are very basic with a single bunk bed, a table and a fridge. There are plenty of bathrooms/showers so its not a huge deal that they are shared. Overall, this is an unbeatable accommodation at this location with all the amenities at this price point.
