This hotel is wonderful , luxurious when you walk in and pretty much purfect in all ways , rooms a bit dated but to be expected since it is an older hotel . The beds are comfortable , lots of hot water , the place is clean and breakfast selection varied and good . The front staff were really friendly , I asked last minute for a late checkout and it wasn't an issue . The pool looked great but I didn't unlike so many others , get to use it , I certainly will if I am back in Chiang Mia .

I found stains on different surfaces, like the walls, bathtub, sink, countertops, and even the bedsheets, which was quite disappointing. The lift on the left side cannot close properly a couple of times and got me stuck there, which was really frustrating. At one point, I tried to use the other lift, but I ended up stuck with the left one. In the end, I had to look for the stairs and found the express lift on the other side of the building. I could also hear water moving through the toilet pipes from time to time, and it even woke me up once around 8am. On top of that, there was basically no soundproofing. One morning, a guy kept knocking on the door of the room next to mine because no one answered, and it woke me up too. The lighting was also pretty poor. I could only do my makeup with sunlight from the window. I did think about booking another hotel I had stayed at before, but moving around in that heat was just too much hassle. If I ever come back to Chiang Mai, I would definitely spend my money elsewhere. Only pros: The location is good. There’s a 7-Eleven across the street, and it’s close to the Night Bazaar.
