Clean room and great location

Sijainti varsin kätevä: kävelymatka Chinatownin keskeisille paikoille, metroasema alakerrassa. Hyvä palvelu vastaanotossa ja varsin hyvä ihan uimisen salliva uima-allas. Huoneet pienehköt ja suihku-wc varsinkin. Hintansa osalta kyllä löytö.

The rooms are clean, well-designed and fairly big. Staff is courteous and helpful. The hotel is located beside the train so it’s accessible to everywhere. There are many restaurants and bars around which are within walking distance.

Wanted to give myself a break so booked a room to relax over the weekend. I remember my stay in Dorsett HK and it was fine. I checked in and got an upgrade and was initially quite pleased. The room was neat and clean. The staff were friendly. However, the conditions of the room were very disappointing! WiFi - Going on and off Bathtub - There’s a bathtub but the tap attached has got no hot water Toilet seat - Cannot stay open and it felt like you need to ‘carry’ something when you sit down Toilet pump - Not strong. (And this is Singapore) Aircon - Need 2-3 hours to be cool Towel - Old and tattered. Although no weird smell, but the condition is bad Bed/Pillow - Not in good condition All in all, it’s definitely NOT WORTH THE PRICE! This hotel is only 10 years old and there’re older hotels with better conditions that I’ve stayed. What happened? I thought they just had a makeover?? Everything showed that it’s under maintenance! I felt like I’ve been ‘transported’ to some small rundown town in a 3rd world country! And this is Singapore! For a fact, I can find a boutique/budget hotel with better conditions and pay lesser. This is supposed to be a 4-star hotel, I think the status needs to be re-evaluated. It absolutely feels more like a 3-star! Also, the breakfast itself cost SGD49! If you look at the cafe, you’ll not pay for it. The upgraded room I had cost over SGD320. Like I said, one can easily find a better option with this price.
