Its a great place to stay, very quiet, very near to all the top attractions. I highly recommend this place.
Good hotel for the price, location is not very central but walkable distance. Supermarket is closeby.
They accepted payment by card in the currency that the reservation was made at.

I stayed at the hotel for 2 nights and while I have no complaints about the room or the location, I was shocked when I was asked why I booked the rooms I did at check in. Since mine was a last minute booking in Colombo, I booked whatever the app recommended for this hotel, but the manager wanted to know why I booked a “family” room as a solo traveler and that it was a very large room accommodating upto six people. Turns out the room was had two large beds and not as described to me earlier. The next day I had to change my room per the booking, I was told that I had booked a “honeymoon suite” and it was implied that solo travelers book this room sometimes and bring local “partners”.
I’ve been traveling a long time and stayed in all kinds of hotels, homestays, hostels, never once has it been implied to me that’s something I might do as a solo traveler. Turns out there was nothing honeymoony about the room, the special feature of this room was a spacious private terrace.
The rooms itself are nice and spacious and the hotel is well located and they have a pretty good breakfast.
Overall good but won’t recommend for solo travelers.
Great llittle hotel in Colombo, within walking distance from the Gangaramaya Temple and Colombo National Museum. Spacious room with a really comfortable bed and a nice balcony. The rooftop pool looked very inviting and had a nice view, but we didn't get a chance to use it. Good local food options around and easy to get a bus to other parts of the city and atrractions including the fort and Red Mosque. There's also a Cargills (grocery store) a short walk away if you need to get snacks, water, etc. We were there for NYE and on New Year's morning the hotel served up a delicious selection of Sri Lankan treats!

I stayed here for 3 nights for work. I originally booked 4 nights, but since my conference ended earlier, I called the hotel before arrival to request a date change. The staff said it could be done upon arrival, and they helped me change it smoothly when I checked in — which I appreciated.
I had booked a Superior Room (family room) since no deluxe rooms were available at the time, and it was quite expensive for what it offered. The staff were friendly and even suggested that my colleague (who was also staying in the same hotel) and I share the room, which was thoughtful, but we decided to keep separate rooms.
The room itself was okay — neat bed and clean overall, but there was a funky smell in the toilet and the sofa was full of stains. I was also disappointed to find out there was no lift, and the stairs were quite tiring to climb after a long workday. Honestly, if I had known that earlier, I wouldn’t have booked it.
The stay went fine until the last morning, when things became very uncomfortable. We hadn’t been asked to pay upon arrival, so we assumed payment would be done at checkout, as is normal with many hotels. The night before checkout, I even asked for the accommodation bill so I could prepare.
The next morning, I told the staff I needed to exchange money to pay the bill and even asked where the nearest money exchange was. He said he needed to go somewhere around 11, so we agreed to come before then. My colleague and I went to a nearby bank (about 7–10 minutes away), but while I was in the queue, he kept calling — several times — and at one point, it felt like he was accusing me of lying about being at the bank since it was a Sunday.
We rushed back to the hotel before 11:30 (checkout time is 12), but he was extremely rude and angry, saying we should have paid on arrival. My colleague tried to explain that we were never told that. The whole situation was stressful and intimidating, especially since we were in another country.
Before that incident, everything was fine — but the way the payment issue was handled really spoiled the experience. I wish the hotel had clearer communication about payment and showed more understanding. For the price I paid, I would definitely choose a different hotel next time.
