Spent a great week at Novotel Thai Ha. The Deluxe room is very well equipped and very large and spacious! Will definitely be back again.
My family and I are very pleased with the room we have booked. It is very large and very well equipped. The room comes with a very good washing machine and dryer. There is also a kitchen and washing area fully equipped with cooking utensils and crockery. There is an induction hob top. A capsule coffee brewer is also provided. I also like the Bluetooth speaker next to the bedside. I didn't bring my own HDMI cable, otherwise I would have used the TV as my computer monitor, internet access is excellent and fast. The room has a Walk-in closet equipped with an ironing board and the sitting toilet is equipped with a heated toilet seat Toto electronic controlled bidet, The wash basin and showering area are in their own room, so it is a very long room. The King Size Bed is big for 2 adults and a child, a settee is also good for lying down or sleeping. There's plenty of table space for your laptop. We didn't initially get breakfast as part of the booking, but for the 3 days that we did, we are very pleased with the breakfast options with Korean, Vietnamese, Western and Indian food options. Food quality and variety is excellent! We originally intended to stay for a week but ended staying 9 days due to a change in our schedule. I booked to check-in early 2 days earlier and have no problems during the check-in. Overall, loved my experience at Novotel Thai Ha! Will definitely be back again!
The hotel is ok.
But the way of treatment by the staff is weird overall for us.
Day one, we checked in i requested for additional water bottle since only 2 was kept and we were 3 people. Immediately i get a call from the reception that as per hotel policy we give only 2 water bottle and there would be additional charge. Only after I explained that we are 3 people they provided water bottle. The booking done in advance says its for 3 people then why do we need this situation and explanation.
Secondly, the staff doesn't want to welcome us.Agreed we are of different origin (non asian and non Caucasian) atleast a simple smile as a courtesy to other human being can be done. They greet others with a smile but when it comes to us all we get is a sigh.
Lastly, before check out they inspected our room and the laundry bag was missing..it could have been a genuine mistake at our end that we could have packed it by mistake or misplaced it but the rude reception lady is insulting us saying that "you took it and its missing " better words could have been used here. Didn't want to argue for being accused as someone who took stuff just paid 30k Dong for a laundry bag which may have been packed by mistake or misplaced.
Don't understand the level of service Novotel claims for themselves.
You can be a great chain of hotel but atleast have the basic courtesy to treat your guests.
