Very clean basic property. My only complaint is that the shower temperature did not remain consistent.

The staff was very nice. Good meal on site. The room was clean although the beds are a little firm.

Relaxing location. They do not offer rooms with private bathrooms which was a disappointment when we got to the hotel because we booked a room with private bathroom. Acknowledging that the hotel offered us a free dinner for their mistake. Otherwise, staff was really friendly and able to help and provide excellent customer service, they had great dinner and breakfast. Room was clean and the beds were comfortable.

Don't be alarmed when your GPS steers you to what seems like the middle of nowhere. You will be brought to a (partly) former school with an incredible host and staff. EVERYONE is very friendly, does their best in helping you and making you feel like it is your home away from home no matter how short your stay is. You can drive to town (Blonduos) for dinner but you have to eat at least once in the hotel. The host makes the food for you herself and it is very good! A home cooked meal and the atmosphere is superb. Jazz music playing in the background while you dine with a view of the lake or the mountain. A beautiful dining room! My only wish is I could have stayed here longer!

The staff was very friendly and helpful. They never mentioned a basketball court on the premises but they need a regulation basketball ;-) There were no TV or phones in the rooms but we did not stay indoors anyways. There was a hot tub and infinity pool that was heated. If you need to get away from everything and have nice people and beautiful surroundings this is a great place for that.
