We were warmly welcomed upon arrival. All of the staff were courteous and friendly. Hemingways restaurant on site was very good. The grounds of the hotel are very lush and beautiful.

I stayed at Sands in 2018 and went back with my sister November 2025. Everything was exactly as I remembered it!!! The best thing about the Sands is the staff. Front desk and Hemingways are super, but a special shout-out to Jose and the guys on the beach! I lost my phone (with all of my son's wedding photos that I hadn't had a chance to back up) in the ocean in a waterproof cover. They jumped in with snorkel gear, and Jose came up with it.....I have never been so relieved! They turned what could have been a disaster of a vacation into a relaxing, enjoyable time. They didn't want any money, but were happy to help me. I will DEFINITELY go back (already planning for next November), perfect weather!

Upon arrival I did not feel welcomed by the front desk. She was very rude possibly was being racist just because I saw her treat someone else differently. Our room had a bad stench to it. We couldn’t shower comfortably because our shower would get cold after 3 minutes. After my stay I tried emailing the stay and they are unresponsive. Definitely not coming back. Book somewhere else this is not a 4 star hotel. More like a 3 star.

I was harrased for my room number while I was on the phone sitting in the lobby. Seems like some of the front desk staff like to single out who deserves hospitality and respect. Not the people that look like them.
