short stay only rooms basic but clean no kettle or beverage making in the room

The location, the staff and the pub itself were awesome. The room however was dreadful. The bed linen was clean which was the best feature of the room.
The shared bathroom was unpleasant, the shared kitchen was inadequate and the whole place was like stepping back to the 50s.

Book last minute as a stop over from Sydney to GC. Got a great price. It was a Saturday night and had really good music that we could enjoy while having a beer outside on the deck looking over the town and water. Room itself was huge. 1 bedroom with nice king-size bed and a single in the lounge. Full kitchen. Room was 11A. Really cool layout upstairs with heaps of character. It's old but perfect for what we wanted. Hotel has good bar and garden bar, tab, pokie and bottle store. Right in the heart.
