Superb location. Easy walk from the ferry and into the main eating/shopping/historical centres. Very good, helpful staff. They let us leave our bags there on the day we checked out, as we had a very late flight in the evening. Fun decor and a spacious room. Lots of great places to eat very close. Two small niggles, the shower leaked over the floor, didn't seem so bad on the first day but got worse. Not really a problem for us but a mess for the staff. They provide a kettle and tea and coffee sachets (which many places don't), but only 2 tea and 2 coffee sachets and only replenished them when we asked. As it's only staffed for a few hours in the morning, we often didn't see anyone to ask. Would stay there again.

Very loud! The walls were paper thin and we could hear everything. Our booking said breakfast but we were told there was no breakfast for our reservation.

Property was hard to find. Entry was very “scary”. Large double old wood doors with a small cut out that was difficult to get in and out of. Once inside the “lobby” was very unsettling. Like the building was deserted. Property needs a much better job of identifying its location AND, updating the entry. Hotel is on the second level…. Nothing is on the ground floor, very strange. Once inside the hotel, it was clean and attractive. At night, bar across the street was non-stop. Hotel supplies ear plugs in the room and, after the first night, we knew why. Staff was friendly and breakfast was good.
