We had a very pleasant stay at Kyukamura Ibusuki Resort, which is a lovely resort popular among senior travelers. The environment is peaceful and relaxing — perfect for a calm getaway. A special thank you to Mr. Hiroki Hamaue, who kindly stayed late and extended his working hours so that we could still enjoy the sand bathing experience even though we arrived late. His warm and thoughtful service truly impressed us and made our stay memorable. Our room was spacious and comfortable, with a beautiful sunrise view right from the window. We also loved that the resort is within walking distance to the Chiringashima making it easy to explore the nearby area. The only small drawback is that there are no shower facilities inside the room, but the public bath area is clean and well maintained. Overall, it was a great experience, and we would love to return again. Thank you to Mr. Hamaue and the Kyukamura Ibusuki team for their wonderful hospitality!

The sand bath in this ryokan was a great experience. It is just awesome. The onsen is also very good. The room is spacious and the futon is comfortable. Dinner and breakfast was good with lots of choices. Love the Yukatas the most, you can choose your yukata at the lobby and they are all so beautiful I mean the ones for the ladies. The staffs are friendly and speaks english. The ryokan have beautiful view of the beach and also Mt Kaimon. I would recommend anyone going to Kagoshima to extend your trip to Ibusuki to experience the sand bath.
