Small space but very comfort and healing places.
I will visit again.
Traditional Korean House :D
Location very convenient - near the palace and there are many cafes and small shops nearby. Accessible by metro (Anguk station) and bus.
Room is small but cosy, clean, and comfy! Korean breakfast delivered to the room was delicious. Pillow is a bit uncomfortable and futon slightly thin, but got used to it soon after.
We loved our short stay in Yeonwoo Guesthouse. They were very responsive and kind, the place is owned by a couple. They waited even if we checked in very late at night and explained the amenities and the room was clean and prepared well. It was an authentic hanok stay. They also served traditional breakfast and it was so delicious. Would recommend staying here as well.
Absolutely would recommend here over a bigger hotel. The owners were very kind and flexible with my booking, and even allowed me to stay at another house they own, Inwoo, with no additional charge when my dates needed to change. The aesthetic and surrounding location of the hanok village is a much smaller, cozier experience than staying in a bigger hotel on a bigger street. The hanoks are beautiful and the surrounding shops and restaurants are really cozy. It's a very short walk to Anguk station which got me nearly everywhere, and it's very close to Gyeongbokgung and Changdeokgung
A couple things to consider -- firstly, I actually stayed at Inwoo rather than Yeonwoo, so I am not positive how Yeonwoo is set up. But I can't imagine my older parents being comfortable on the thin bedroll or with the awkward low ceiling bathroom in my room. I am a younger person in okay physical shape, so it didn't bother me.
Overall it's a unique hanok experience. The owners are very friendly and cook breakfast for us. However the pillow is too hard and small to sleep well.
