Super
This hotel definitely does NOT warrant the exceptional ratings posted online (by Elvis fans I suspect). It’s a 7/10 at best. Our room was large but dingy, likely not having had an update in decades. The building itself looks quite grandiose from the outside, however the interior is quite “worn”. The original elevator services some rooms but not all. Ours room had a winding staircase as the only access. Noise is another factor as you can easily hear fellow guests going up and down the stairs, right outside your door. On site parking is VERY limited and tight, not suitable for larger cars or anyone who is not a confident driver. Some street parking is available close by but can be hard to find depending on your arrival time. To summarize, spend your money elsewhere unless you’re a hard core Elvis fan seeking the experience.
Charmigt gammalt hotell med fin historia av Elvis Presleys vistelse där. Fin stad med bra restauranger. Härlig park på motsatta sidan av hotellet. Tyvärr lite tråkigt möblerad svit…
Sehr gerne wieder!!!
The room, as well as the bathroom, was spacious and quiet. We were pleasantly surprised when we found out the hotel had an elevator. There are several stairs to get to the elevator so this property is not disability-inclusive. Parking is atrocious! There are 4 small spots in front of the hotel. The driveway is not paved so every step taken raised dust/dirt and left the interior of the car completely dirty not to mention the shoes which also were left dirty. We booked through Expedia, but on the last day of our week spent at the hotel, the front desk receptionist said we owed €54 for taxes a soda and a bottle of water. Another man (receptionist?) came and said we owed €100 because the hotel charges €5 for parking each night. I'm not complaining about the charge, what I am complaining about is that nobody informed us that there would be a charge for parking even if you are a hotel guest. The receptionist then said Dolce, which is just down the road, charges €80 a day for parking! Laughable! We stayed at Dolce for a week at the beginning of our trip and didn't pay for parking. The room came with one bottle of water for the entire stay! Other hotels replenish water every day. The room alone was good everything else was below average and the staff is not at all customer friendly. If you are an Elvis fan, then get a drink here but stay at one of the other many great hotel options nearby that offer everything, as well as customer service.
