We got to Terre Haute late at night and since *** screwed up our reservation and was not helpful when they randomly increased their deposit (stupid) we scrambled to find another hotel that didn't cost a ton. Rodeway is a bit further off the 70 exit going north on 41. They had a $20 deposit (cash/card accepted) and their rooms were super cheap compared to other hotels close. There's a Denny's, gas stations, and other restaurants as well as a Dollar General. The room had a functional mini fridge and microwave. There was also a hanging clothing rack if needed and chair. The staff was fantastic and worked with us when we were a few minutes late booking our room the 2nd night. The motel is a bit dated but everything is kept up well and the rooms were super clean. It was quiet and we hardly ever saw any other occupants. It was peaceful. No shady characters hanging around we felt totally safe. The shower was A+ and the beds clean, bug free, and comfy! We will definitely be staying at Rodeway Inn again and we appreciated how helpful the staff was when we ran into a minor issue. The heating unit worked well and the windows were able to be opened - the room had a bit of a stale smell so the only thing I would recommend is getting a cheap $1 can of some air freshener. It wasn't bad at all though, not a big deal. 5 star experience for the low price.

In the 24 hours here I saw more roaches and bed bugs than you could imagine. The staff are rude. Place is super unclean. Dirt on the floors stinky beds. Things left in toilets etc. . . At least 15 police cars showed up twice and arrested 2 different people. . .there's weird men hanging around who make weird comments towards you. I was asked for my number and "favors" multiple times and I'm a nurse. . . . Also asked for money. . . The owner is beyond rude. . .snapped on my children and told me I would have to pay extra to him on cashapp or we needed to leave (mind you I paid the 47$ room fee ) and he asked to be sent money on cashapp. . . The "non smoking room ' has multiple cigarette burns on the sheets. . . .just all around gross

This hotel is very rundown. In the room that my family and I stayed in, the walls were poorly patched up. The bathtub had not been clean... there was evidence of someone's hair in the tub. This hotel could use major remodeling.
