Very nice and helpful staff. Poor road in front of the hotel, there are multiple big mud /water puddles. We are scared for our cars, afraid it may stop running, it they are deeper.
As a solo traveler I appreciate the friendly staff and management. A guesthouse is the right option for being with other guests and also having privacy. Remarkable place!
I had the Raiatea room with kitchenette. There is a toaster, stove top, microwave, etc. And the gas station next door is stocked with most things for a tourist- toiletries, lots of drinks, canned food, microwaveable food, packaged cheese and meats, bread, some fresh food, and hot and cold to go food. The room is closer to the gas station side, so yes you can hear the street. Bring ear plugs, or I use my child's sound machine. Also bring repellent for everywhere in French Polynesia. There weren't a lot at this pension, but they are possible anywhere outside of a resort. There is a park and beach across the street. Its not huge, but there is enough grass for a child to run around on (thats why I chose it). On one day, the ocean was clean and very nice to explore. The other time, yhe water was clean but there were a lot of broken kelp lile plant pieces floating in it (NOT trash), so ok to go in but not crystal. It was likely because of a storm or all the tourists stomping around in the lagoon. The pension has some masks and fins as well as a few pairs of water shoes to borrow. My partner had a good time snorkeling in the lagoon.
The pool was also nice. And not too busy. Great for occupying a child.
Museum of tahiti can be walked to, but the path is next to road.
Courteous staff. Good location.
Owners are very helpful, informative and friendly! Cozy tropical paradise with a lovely pool and tiki hut for breakfast with microwave. Rooms are comfortable with refrigerators, fans and AC. Walking distance to beach and shops and gas. Safe parking within gated property. Great location near waterfront restaurant.
