My stay at The Herriott Hotel & Suite Danang was unfortunately disappointing and did not meet expectations on several levels. From the moment we arrived, the first impression at the reception already set a negative tone. The receptionist did not come across as welcoming or friendly, and the interaction felt quite cold and transactional rather than hospitable. There was a noticeable lack of attentiveness and professionalism, which is something you would normally expect from a hotel upon check-in. It didn’t feel like guests were being valued, and that initial experience already made us feel uncomfortable. Throughout the stay, this lack of hospitality seemed consistent among the staff. They were not particularly accommodating, and interactions felt minimal and at times dismissive. There was little effort to make guests feel at ease or assisted, which significantly affected the overall experience. The most frustrating part of the stay happened during check-out. Even though we were still within the official check-out time, we were approached and pressured to leave the room immediately. The way it was handled felt rushed and inconsiderate, almost as if we were overstaying, despite still having a few minutes remaining. There was no flexibility or understanding shown, and the approach came across as unnecessarily aggressive and uncomfortable. As for the room itself, it appeared quite old and in need of proper maintenance. The wooden flooring was visibly cracked and damaged in several areas, which not only affected the aesthetics but also gave an impression of neglect. The overall condition of the room felt worn down rather than refreshed or well-kept. Additionally, there was a noticeable unpleasant smell in the room that persisted throughout our stay. This made it difficult to fully relax and enjoy the space, as it constantly affected the comfort level. Cleanliness and upkeep did not seem to be up to standard, which is a basic expectation for any accommodation. Overall, the experience was far from satisfactory. The combination of poor customer service, lack of courtesy during check-out, and the condition of the room made the stay disappointing. With better staff training, improved guest handling, and proper maintenance, the hotel has the potential to improve—but based on this experience, it did not provide a comfortable or welcoming stay.

Đồ đạc trong phòng cũ và xuống cấp. Sàn nhà phồng rộp, cánh tủ không đóng được. Phòng rất ồn, cả đêm phải nghe tiếng cục nóng điều hoà của phòng khác kêu ù ù cả đêm, không ngủ được. Trải nghiệm không tốt chút nào.

- Poorest staff attitude. Not helpful nor friendly. They have a dusty Christmas tree at the check in area in April, when asked why didn't they remove it, the staff responded with “we want to leave it like that all year round, so yea” ?! - The AC didnt really work, the TV was broken. The bed was so old and curved down to the floor like a hammock - Extremely dusty and smelled of dampness and mould everywhere. - The beddings and pillowcases were dirty. - Last straw: There was clipped toe nails pieces on the floor
