Great experience

We stayed four nights as a family of five, with two rooms. The location is unbeatable, the staff were friendly, and everything was clean and well maintained. The rooms and beds were comfortable, and we really appreciated the free hot coffee and self-serve hot chocolate available all day in the lobby — a nice touch, especially in winter. The only downsides were that breakfast was a bit disappointing, likely due to the holiday peak (Dec 28–Jan 1) with crowds and limited options, and the parking fee of $29 per night plus tax. Overall, a very pleasant and comfortable stay, and we would gladly return.

Overall, the place is just full of problems. More specifically, at 1:03pm I told management in writing that we had pests in the room (with pictures) the heat wasn't working and temperature was 60 degrees per the thermostat and turning full heat on did nothing, I also asked about an extra bed or crib for the 3rd time. After receiving no response or update, at 6:57pm asked about heat status. Minor issue that the coffee/tea in the room was not replenished by room service. When I asked about it, they said they would bring more...but didn't. When I asked again, they said they would bring more in the morning...but again didn't and didn't update further. Worth noting that "cribs" were advertised, but and I asked for them, but they claimed despite my request none had been reserved. After I went to the front desk three times, they finally and reluctantly gave me a collapsable crib with no carrying case and told me to take it before someone else did...so I had to carry it to the 3rd floor myself while managing the family. Other misc issues: breakfast "buffet" has plastic utensils, paper plates, and nothing but reheated junk and sugar cereals. Almost as nice as what I'd expect in a frat house. lol. Blinds were broken, Joseph the grouch eventually responded to ask to "discuss" but there was nothing to discuss. No attempt was made to fix the heat. Just generally awful experience for a very horribly pricey hotel. hallways smelled horribly of smoke, pool area smelled horribly of chlorine.
