Outdated, disgusting, and unsafe property that shouldn’t be listed in Expedia
My flight got delayed, and I arrived around 1:30 AM. You can come into the lobby regardless, because the front door is never locked, but you don’t see anyone. There was a sign with a phone number that never replied, and a ring doorbell that no one answered. Fortunately a maintenance guy passed by, like 25 minutes after I had been there, asked if I was checking in - told me there were no check ins that late - and when I told him had a reservation he went and found and old woman (she was very nice, the only nice thing around this place), who helped me to check in.
The room I got was 118. This whole property is a complete mess. If you walk barefoot on the dubious-looking and sticky room carpet, you have chances to get every parasite known to humanity on your body. Linens were stained and with a strong mildew odor. The tub had residues of hair from previous guests. The bathroom door never closed properly. The walls had several places where the wall paint was peeling off or with literal holes in them. The bathroom light was falling apart. I found one roach inside the bathroom. The towels weren’t white, they were gray and smelly. The entire room was in a decaying state.
Above all of this, the place is not even safe to stay at. I came out to the hallway on more than two occasions, and people were sitting on a couch that leads to the side entrance (which doesn’t even have a lock), smoking marihuana.
Well, i never made it inside. It was 8 pm when i arrive and the door ws locked. There was a ring doorbell and a phone number. Neither were answered so I left. Building is disgusting. Zero signs out. The only reason i knew i was in the right place was the address on the building was the same as this reservation. Also, there was another hotel's sign in the front on a tall pole. Nothing aboit this place was even ok.
Upon arrival the sign was not lit and it looked closed. There was only one vehicle in dimly lit parking lot, It seemed very unsafe and questionable. Appeared closed. We arrived at about 9:00 p.m. Apparently the only vehicle was employee working at the desk. We walked inside and told him we wanted to check in and the guy was friendly enough, although not very talkative unless being talked to. He got us checked in rather quickly and gave us a key card and told us our room number. We went to the room but the door would not open. The key worked fine but something was blocking the door. We went back to the desk and told the employee that our door would not open and he did not seem surprised. He started typing something into the computer and then handed us a different key and said to go to a different room. It is a very dated hotel and it does not appear to be maintained well. When we entered our room it smelled musty. There was peeling paint in the bathtub and wallpaper. No towels in the room. There was mildew or dust along the baseboards. The toilet would not flush unless we removed the lid and manually flushed it. The alarm clock was unplugged as was the television. There was conduit running along the walls on the inside of the room. Stains and crust on the sheets. Told guy toilet wouldn't flush, he said he'd let maintenance know. Would have went elsewhere if not so late. Didn't unpack, slept on top of blanket. Checked out early. Checkout was quick. Employee -nice. Hotel-bad.
When I arrived, the Internet, telephone and television services were not working. However, the Desk Clerk did not tell me about this. I learned this later after I tried to use these services. When I walked down to the desk, I was told that they were not sure when services were going to be available. No apologies, no customer service attempts at all. I will never stay here again or recommend.
Breakfast was terrible, just waffles and cereal. Everything in the room was rusty and dilapidated.
