part of the palataran hotel complex - can use the pool and restaurant 1.6km away - can walk or get free shuttle. great rooms for peace and quiet. if you want choice of restaurants there isn't any - can use kayaks for free nice for 2 nights

Exactly like what other reviews said: this lodging nestles in the middle of the West Bali National Park, and they share the same facilities with the Menjangan Resort so you need to take a shuttle bus to go to the beach, pool and restaurant areas. I spent only one day here but I enjoyed all the experience they offer so much, from bird watching walk, kayaking, snorkeling, the sunrise view of the lodge as it situates right next to the edge of the beach. I'm also aware that my room is in a lodging so i will share the common areas and bathrooms with 4 other rooms - I have no problem with that. Also beware of that they don't have a sink in that bathroom (don't know why) and no shampoo/body wash - prepare accordingly ya. Dinner at the Octagone Resto will cost around 350k-500k (appetizer, main plus drinks). You can use other services provided by the Menjangan resort as well. One more positive thing compared to past reviews is that you no longer need to pay 200k park entrance ticket! Yay. TLDR: Only book here if you want to spend your entire time in this area (for hiking, sunbathing, snorkeling, reading, relaxing, me time) plus snorkeling/diving in Menjangan island. Super great value for money.
