카오 위엔 호텔 - 중정

I really enjoyed my stay here (especially when comparing to the hotel I'm staying at currently in the same city. I wish I could go back to this one!) I had a basic room with a single bed. Bed was very comfortable, but definitely on the firm side so if you like soft beds, you'll hate it. For me, the pillow would get too saggy through the night but that's really my only complaint. The room had a small fridge, some tea and coffee packets, electric hot water boiler, 2 bottles of water (can request more during stay if you run out), closet, basic thin slippers. The AC worked well and you could control the temp in the room. Bathroom had a walk-in shower stall with good hot water and strong water pressure, also had shampoo and body wash dispensers (can't remember if there was one for conditioner or not). There was a small circle of soap that I used for hand washing at the sink, and a hair dryer. Also, body towels and hang towels were provided. If there's anything else you need for necessities, you'll need to bring them yourself. There's not much of a lobby so don't expect to have somewhere to sit and sip tea. The staff were friendly and polite. I'm not sure about their English skills as I had a Mandarin-speaker with me to help when my basic Mandarin wasn't enough. I think this caters more for business travelers, so when I say it's a no nonsense type of place, I mean that you'll have all your basic necessities met with a bit of comfort. You're there to sleep and get work done, or just have a home base to come back to. There's no gym, laundry facilities, kitchen, or other fancy amenities meant for luxury or long-term stays.

Just a friendly reminder, they do NOT serve breakfast as stated in the advertisement. Something that was a big disappointment. The rest was great.

It is absolute value for money, I would like to stay here again if I come to TaiChung in the future

The perfect affordable place for solo traveling. The spot is close to some walkable sights and night markets and it was easy to get to from the airport.

해가 지고난 후 체크인을 했어요. 주변 건물들이 낡아서 호텔 찾아가면서 걱정을 많이 했는데, 새로 리모델링을 했는지 정말 깨끗하고 넓었습니다. 궁원안과 아이스크림가게, 타이중공원, 주변 야시장까지 알차게 즐기고 왔네요.
