Breakfast

We have stayed at Ibis Hotels around the world both in Europe in Asia and South America. This is a very nice property quite large 31 stories tall. The hotel staff were OK. There's a breakfast every morning on the 10th floor. A very large dining hall with a variety of foods. The emphasis seems to be on more Malaysian/Indian style foods. Lots of curry items. We do like their croissants. But the ones here are a little bit more cake like than other locations we've had in the past. The hotel cleaning staff is very shorthanded and we came back a couple of times in the afternoon and the room had not been cleaned yet. So in which we just asked for towels and went another day without a room service. Our room attendant is a very hard-working guy and we don't fault him for his efforts. One thing that we found very unusual is that the TV had primarily local channels. There was no international news, very few English speaking channels and unlike other hotels we had no access to go to YouTube. The Internet service was OK. The room was large and the bathroom was spacious. I think the pricing was spot on. We booked this reservation through Expedia. We had previously booked another hotel and it was not in a desirable area and looked sketchy. And so we came to this Ibis KLCC property. There's some restaurants across the street in in the area. But most days we took a grab taxi to the mall which had more choices overall, we would likely stay here again if we came back to KL.

Great hotel for anyone visiting KL as it's located near some of the main attractions like Suria KLCC and the Petronas Twin Towers. It's walking distance from the MRT or even Chinatown/Little India if you are an avid walker like myself. The staff were all super helpful and kind. The hotel is relatively clean and fresh - there were few areas that needed to be cleaned when I first arrived. Maybe they could improve the air circulation by ensuring fresh air in all of the rooms to prevent stuffiness. The hotel has all the amenities you could want, but at times there would be lineups outside of the elevators which was inconvenient. I would definitely stay here again the next time I come to KL!

A very comfortable hotel in the downtown area about a 10 minute walk from the MRT. Staff were very helpful at any time I needed assistance. I was confused when the pool was closed because of rain. Most people do get wet while in a pool. I suppose there is a reason for this. All in all a good hotel to stay at as has been my experience at other Ibis properties.
