TERRIBLE! NO elevator. Needed to pay 40 euros in cash for city tax. When I booked it in through Expedia I knew that I needed to pay about $60+ CAD $ at the property but it was not mention anywhere that it has to be paid in cash which was very frustrating as our previous accommodation in Barcelona let us pay the city tax using our credit card. The property is old. All the pictures do not match what the guesthouse looked like in person. No AC. You have to have a flashlight or use your cellphone to see the stairs when you go out at night as the switch only work when you are going upstairs. Bathroom shower stall is horrible, sides are glass and the middle is a shower curtain. Male receptionist has no customer service at all. On our fourth morning, I was using their hair dryer and then it suddenly died I thought initially that it got overheated as it was on high. Then I tried charging our devices and all the outlets in the bedroom area did not work as well as the fan. That was around noon at that time so we thought they automatically turn the power off. We got home around 6pm and still the outlets are not working so we’ve contacted the male receptionist. He showed up 30 minutes after. He blamed us that we were charging multiple devices and using hair dryer at the same time; that we should have contacted us sooner etc. I gave one star due to its location, close to restaurants, bars and public transport.

The property is located very close to "pink street" which remains noisy up to 4am, and then the traffic noise starts around 7am, so overall this is not the place to stay if you are a light sleeper, and affected by noise. The positives about this property are that it is very convenient for multiple bars and restaurants, well served by public transport, and within walking distance of a few memorable Lisbon highlights. A criticism is the guest house does not have bag storage options after check out. I assumed incorrectly that i could leave my bag in the unmanned reception and collect later. On collection of the bag I found the reception was manned and was informed i was not permitted to leave my bag. I think bag storage is an essential so am disappointed by the lack of this option

L'odeur de la chambre était vraiment désagréable. Il n'y a pas de réception à cet endroit donc prévoir de recevoir les codes avant d'y arriver. L'emplacement était parfaite.
