Helpful staff speaking good English

Taxi arranged by hotel took me to wrong location at 2AM. A/C did not function 1st day so was moved to another inferior room but did not receive discount or refund. Terrible construction noise throughout stay next door. Staff friendly but I had to relocate to another hotel.

I enjoy my stay at Kingdom Hanoi Hotel with my whole family. The service is good and location is great. Will come back again. Thanks

Centrally located in the Old Quarter, the location was quite good with a lot of restaurants, bars, and shops around, also walking distance from Hoan Kiem Lake. However, I honestly felt scammed for the price. The rooms and hotel itself are older than advertised. They mentioned when we checked in that they gave us a bigger room than what we paid for, but that was a lie because it was exactly the room I booked. The wallpaper was peeling off the walls and literally held up by scotch tape. While the room had a television and telephone, neither are hooked up or functional. They only have very tiny and thin pillows for the beds as well. I think my biggest red flag was that I chose the option to pay at the hotel but they charged my credit card on 2 separate occasions for percentages of the stay before we even checked in, which multiplied the conversion and transaction charges I had to pay, then upon checking in they wouldn’t let me pay through the same card. While the staff were quite friendly, don’t expect a relaxing experience if you stay here. It’s literally just a place to sleep for us.
