Unfair to mark Tabsfield B&B as terrible as I couldn’t actually tell you what it was like.
We booked through Hotels.com in December 2024 for a July 2025 visit. We arrived and owners were not expecting us they were out. Their builder managed to get hold of them by phone and the lovely lady owner told us that they had not been taking guests as a hotel since 2020!
So this review is not really about Tabsfield so much as about Hotels.com. We are still awaiting our refund!!
Very friendly, stunning building and garden, large room, very comfortable, even has Sky TV in room including sports and movies
Fabulous place...once you find it! There is a problem with Google and Apple maps and neither will navigate to to the main entrance, but only the general area (within 300-400 yards). If coming at night, you may have difficulty locating this (I spend 1 hour, including knocking on doors!). The owners are lovely and noted that a more prominent sign was being installed...but plan ahead anyway if you arrive at night.
Oh my! Where do I start? What a rare gem of a find this place was. Etna and Henry are the most gracious, warm and welcoming hosts one can think of. And the place itself is pure magic. We absolutely loved every single minute we spent in this beautiful place. And with all the serenity that it offers and the lush natural green surrounding village, it is only a half an hour train ride away from the madness that is London. There is no other place that I would rather stay in the next time I make it to England, period.
Ab fab Ethna and Henry were great,I loved evry minute.
