No offers of cleaning. However we did have pets with us, perhaps this is why. It wasn’t a major issue. Their fireplace did not function correctly and set off alarm (I checked flue and it was open etc etc I know what I am talking about) I think their chimney shaft is so tiny it dint function as it should and they have no glass over the fireplace, I don’t think the vent fan for the fireplace worked. I bought wood for nothing. Their kitchen appliances are damaged and nearly non functional and made it difficult for us. Big bear itself was great. The fact they allow dogs is great. But the overall experience was not cool.

We could hear every single word and step from our neighbors above us - they were up til 4am - no exaggeration, seemingly dancing? The site was also under big renovation and looked nothing like the pictures. Very upset to have spent $500 for 2 days for a romantic getaway. It was anything but. We slept terribly both nights bc of the neighbors and couldn't enjoy property amenities or views. The door key also stopped working on the second day. The front desk woman was very sweet though. Otherwise, big bummer.

Overall great location to the village. Big beat lake is just right behind the place we stayed in. Unfortunately there was construction around the property but they are just making the place look better. Room was big. Not sure if we got a bad bed or box spring. Every th time we would lay down, it seemed as our heads were lower than our feet. Our feet were higher than our heads. We turned the mattress around and same problem. Other than that issue, place was great.
