Cool property, great location
The staff was friendly and helpful, and the suite layout was ideal. The price point was affordable; however, the rooms lacked cleanliness. The couch in both hotel rooms was badly stained, and the blinds in the kitchen were particularly dirty.
I stay at this hotel every time I visit LA, but unfortunately the quality has been getting worse with each visit. The room was noticeably dirty and had an unpleasant smell. There were fresh, strange stains on the curtains, as if someone had spit on them, and there was dried vomit on the balcony glass.
Despite the hotel’s no-smoking policy, there was a constant smell of marijuana coming from nearby rooms. Even though quiet hours start at 11 PM, loud music often continued late into the night. I reached out to the hotel support about these issues, but received no response.
Another unpleasant moment happened in the morning near the pool: while I was using one of the restrooms, the cleaning staff knocked and told me to hurry because they needed to clean. That felt very unprofessional.
To be fair, the front desk staff has always been polite, helpful, and great to interact with — no complaints about them. But overall, the experience this time was disappointing.
